December 27th, 2009
I was born in Nanjing of East China and I have been living in this region for more than 20 years. I have fall in love with this part of China. Personally speaking, it is the one of the most beautiful places in China.
East China is a beautiful and richly endowed region of China. Both big modern cities and famous time-honored ones are located in this place. Moreover, it has not only famous mountains, great rivers and natural wonders, but also human landscape and garden landscape, which form a distinct characteristic of the traveling of East China. Therefore, its wonderful scenery and profound historical and cultural connotation never stop attracting hundreds of thousands of domestic and foreign tourists.
In this region, five cities are best worth visiting .They are namely Hangzhou, Suzhou, Huangshan, Nanjing and Shanghai. All of these places are wonderful places to visit and they have their own characteristics.
Hangzhou is famed for its scenic spots-“West Lake”, and enormous of love stories took place near West Lake, so it is the most romantic city in East China. Suzhou is noted for its beautiful gardens and a famous saying goes, “Gardens to the south of Yangtze River are the best in the world, and Suzhou Gardens are the NO.1 among them.” To the Chinese, the two cities are like paradise on earth. Mount Huangshan is one of the top ten tourist attractions and destinations in China and we can find all Beauties of Nature here. Nanjing is one of the seven ancient capitals of China and is a city of numerous cultural and historical monuments. You can feel its rich cultural connotations here in Nanjing. Shanghai was already dubbed as the “Paris of the East” 50 years ago when it was as well known as cosmopolitan cities like London and Paris. Shanghai now has become a metropolis, the economic engine of China, deep-rooted in cultural background and open to modern ideas. World Expo 2010 will be held in Shanghai and we welcome you to shanghai and other cities to see the new look of East China.
